Bio

Jared Grove was named the second Head Baseball Coach and Associate Athletic Director on May 22, 2024 by Hocking College Athletic Director Rick Walker. Grove comes to Hocking from Penn College of Technology in Williamsport, PA where he was the Assistant Baseball Coach in charge of hitting and outfielders from 2021 through the 2024 season. During his time at Penn College, Grove coached the team to 70 wins and coached 14 United East All Conference players and 3 All Region players.

Prior to Penn College, Grove spent four years as the hitting coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). During his time at IUP, he assisted in the development of T.J. Adams, who was selected in the 27th round (810 overall) by the Philadelphia Phillies.

His coaching career began in 2016, when he spent the summer serving as an Assistant Coach with the Butler BlueSox of the Prospect Summer Collegiate League.

Grove played collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U), where he was a two year starter as an outfielder. He graduated from Cal U in spring 2015 with a Bachelor's in Sports Management. He also earned his Master's degree from Cal U in Sports Administration with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletics in Spring of 2016.

Grove and his wife Aubrey currently reside in Logan with their two children, Cooper (3) and Peyton (1).
