HAWKS FALL TO COMMODORES IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

Elyria, Ohio

Hocking College traveled to Elyria, Ohio on Saturday to take on the Commodores of Lorain County Community College in the final game of OCCAC action. The Commodores came out and set the tempo early on and that proved to be too much for the Hawks as they fall 114-84.

The Commodores were led in scoring by Jarred Schultz with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Schultz was followed in scoring by Kyle Fayne and Kevin Kelley each scoring 22 en route to the victory.

Raysean Jones capped his career with 30 points on 11-17 shooting from the field and 7 rebounds to lead Hocking College. Jones was followed in scoring by Darnei Hairston and Devonte Lash coming off the bench with 10 points a piece. Joe Clay chipped in 9 points on 4-5 shooting from the field and 5 rebounds, followed by Bryce Mooring with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal. Other scorers for Hocking included Bilgehan Korkmaz with 6 points, D'Andre Clay with 4, Wyatt Harris with 3, and Luke Drayer with 1 point.

The Hawks finish the season at 9-20 overall and 3-15 in OCCAC play. Hocking bids farewell to 4 sophmores (Joseph Clay, Raysean Jones, Devonte Lash, and James Young) and will look to build on the young core talent that returns for the 2017-2018 campaign.
