HAWKS DOWNED BY COUGARS

Hocking College men's basketball (9-16) fell to OCCAC foe Columbus State at home on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks trailed by 14 at the half and just couldn't get over the hump in the second as they fell 92-74. 

The Cougars were led in scoring by Rodney Willis with a game high 25 points and 9 rebounds. Willis was followed in scoring by Johnnie Robinson with 21, and Mario Young and William Prater with 10 points a piece. 

Freshman guard, Darnei Hairston led the Hawks in scoring with 20 points on 8-15 shooting from the floor. Hairston was followed in scoring by Bryce Mooring (19), Raysean Jones (14), Devonte Lash (7), D'Andre Clay (6), Luke Drayer (4), and Bilgehan Korkmaz and Anthony Reid with 2 points each. 

The Hawks will return to action on Wednesday when they play host to the Surge of Cincinnati State.
