Lash's 29 Isn't Enough to Get Hawks Past Cuyahoga

LASH'S 29 ISN'T ENOUGH TO GET HAWKS PAST CUYAHOGA

Hocking College's Devonte Lash was red hot from downtown on the night pouring in nine 3-pointers, six coming in the second half alone but the size and strength of Cuyahoga proved too much for the Hawks as they fall 119-73. 

Cuyahoga had a balanced offensive attack as 7 of their 12 players scored in double figures. Brad Karn led the way for the Challengers as he poured in a team high 19 points on 5-12 from behind the arc. Karn was followed in scoring by Waheem Lowman (15), Wade Lowman (14), Logan Swift (12), and Bruce Hodges, Devon Robinson, and Ramon Sheffield each with 11 points. Wade Lowman, Devon Robinson, and Ramon Sheffield all notched double-doubles for Tri-C.

Hocking was led in scoring by Devonte Lash with 29 points off the bench. He was followed in scoring by Bryce Mooring (16), D'Andre Clay (11), Anthony Reid (7), Joe Clay and Luke Drayer each with 3 points, and Raysean Jones and Bilgehan Korkmaz both added 2 points a piece. Other players seeing actioin for Hocking were Keiron Morning and Wyatt Harris off the bench.

The loss bring Hocking to a 9-15 record overall as they prepare to host Columbus State in another OCCAC match up Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
