MBK: Tri-C squeaks by Hocking, 89-87

In a matchup of two of the top teams in the OCCAC, the Triceratops held on to avenge an early season loss by defeating the Hocking College Hawks, 89-87 on Saturday at the Metro Gymnasium.

The Tops were lead by reiging OCCAC Player of the Week, Manny Hill.  Hill had 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists.  Also in double digits for the Tri-C were Devin Haid (14 pts, 7 boards), Jamail Spivey (13 points), Jordan Persad (13 points, 4 assists) and Tyishawn Smiley (13 points and 10 rebounds).

Tri-C moves into a second place tie with Hocking in the OCCAC standings with both teams being 5-2 in OCCAC play.  The overall record for Tri-C is now at 15-4.

The Tops will travel to Jamestown CC for a non conference game on Monday night before returning home to entertain Terra on Wednesday night at the Metro Gymnasium at 7 pm.
