Kats Hold on For Win over Hocking College
The Erie Community College football team amassed 402 total yards of offense but only found the end zone once in their 11-7 win over Hocking College. The Kats defense earned two safeties and a late fourth quarter interception to help in the victory.
Quarterback Eric Wilson was 16 of 29 for 222 yards passing while running backs Bryant Jackson ran for 95 yards and a touchdown and Thomas Davis added 75 yards rushing.
The Hawks got the back with just under two minutes to play and looking take the lead when freshman Jammal Drummond intercepted the Hocking pass and returned it 25 yards.
The win improves Erie to 4-2 on the season. They will travel to Nassau Community College on Saturday for their next game. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
