Layne Burkhart added to Baseball staff

Hocking College Head Baseball Coach Jared Grove announced today the hiring of Layne Burkhart as an Assistant Coach to the baseball staff. Burkhart comes to Hocking while serving the last two years as the General Manager for Ohio Elite Baseball Program.  He has also served as the General Manager from 2020-2023 for the Gahanna Lions. During that time he has sent over twenty players to the next level as well as giving young men the chance to pursue higher education to jumpstart their careers and lives. Burkhart played travel baseball through high school but after high school decided to pass on playing collegiately and attended Columbus State Community College to get his Associates of Arts degree and is currently in the Ohio State University Fisher School of Business to obtain his Bachelor's degree. Burkhart would like to thank Dr. Betty Young, Athletic Director Rick Walker and Head Baseball Coach Jared Grove for allowing him to have the priviledge to be a part of Hocking College and help build a new tradition in the Hawks baseball program.
