Hocking Baseball lands four All-Conference Selections
Hocking baseball had one player named NJCAA Region 12 All-Region and four players named Ohio Community College Athletic Conference All-Conference honorees, with one first team selection and three second team selections.
 
The all-conference teams and major awards are determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches.
 
For the second year in a row, Ronnie Rowley earned First Team All-Region and All-Conference honors at the utility position. A Lancaster, OH native, Rowley followed up a tremendous freshman campaign with another impressive sophomore season. Rowley posted a .380 batting average while leading the team in almost every offensive category including on-base percentage (.551), triples (5), home runs (13), RBIs (61) and runs (62). He also included 30 stolen bases. On the mound, Rowley led the team in saves (4) while compiling a 3-2 overall record. He posted a 3.92 regular season ERA while striking out 19 and walking 7.
 
Freshman Jonathon Woedl earned Second Team All-Conference honors at the infield position. A mainstay at first base, Woedl was a critical cog in the Hawks offense. Woedl posted a .378 batting average while compiling a .491 on-base percentage. He led the team in hits (64) and doubles (14) while adding 5 home runs, 56 RBIs, 50 runs and 18 stolen bases.
 
Freshman Kai Canson and Jake Winland were the other two honorees landing Second Team All-Conference honors as pitchers. Canson led the team in innings pitched (61.2) and strikeouts (54) while compiling a 4-5 record while posting a 4.96 ERA. Winland compiled a 5-1 record while posting a 6.92 ERA. 
 
As a team, the Hawks finished with an overall record of 28-28 and 15-9 in OCCAC play, placing 2nd in the conference while earning a bid to the NJCAA DII Regional bid for the first time in program history.
