Bio

Craig Moore enters his 2nd season as the Head Coach and quarterbacks coach at Hocking.  He also serves as an Associate Athletic Director in the Athletic Department and has been on staff at Hocking since the inception of the football program in 2015.

He previously worked at Federal Hocking High School, where he taught physical education and was head football coach in 2014. Moore had been Federal Hocking's offensive coordinator and quarterback's coach in 2012 and 2013.

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Moore graduated from Quincy University with a bachelor's degree in recreation and sport. He later moved to Athens, Ohio, to pursue a master's degree in coaching education at Ohio University.

Before moving to Southeast Ohio, Moore was offensive coordinator and quarterback's coach at South Bend Adams High School for one season.

As a student-athlete at Quincy, he earned Mid-States Football Association Conference Player of the Week multiple times during the 2007 campaign as quarterback. In 2008, Moore tied the school's single-game rushing touchdown record.

He began his collegiate career as a junior college athlete at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois, earning Second Team All-Conference NJCAA in the North Central Community College Conference as a freshman in 2004. As a sophomore, he was voted team MVP, awarded First Team All-Conference NJCAA in the N4C, First Team NJCAA All-Region and All-American Honorable-Mention NJCAA-QB.

Moore is a 2004 graduate of South Bend Clay High School.

Moore and his wife, Jennifer, reside in The Plains, Ohio, with their two sons, Joey and Kellen, daughter, Norah, and dog, Auggie.
