Hocking College Golf Wraps Up Fall Season with Strong Tournament Finishes
The Hocking College Men's Golf Team closed out their Fall season with two impressive performances at regional tournaments, showcasing growth, consistency, and competitive fire.
* WCCC Invitational – October 3
Held at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan, the Wayne County Community College Invitational marked Hocking College's debut in the NJCAA Region 12 circuit this season. On a challenging 7,000-yard course, the Golfing Hawks posted a strong team score of 318, securing 4th place out of 11 competing teams.
Leading the charge was Tanner Wood, who fired a 76, placing him 7th out of 77 in the individual standings. He was followed by Ian Tricker with a solid 78, while Mark Behrend and Isaac Ewersen each carded 82 to round out the counting scores. Landen Bray (93) and Hoyt Munro (96) also contributed to the team's effort in what was their penultimate event of the season.
* Ohio Christian University Fall Invitational – October 6–7
The Hawks wrapped up their Fall campaign at the Ohio Christian University Fall Invitational in Circleville, Ohio. Despite rain shortening the event, Hocking College delivered a stellar performance, finishing 3rd overall with a team score of 316—just one stroke behind the host school and four behind tournament champions Kentucky Christian's A Team.
Once again, Tanner Wood led the way with a 76, earning his second 3rd place finish of the season and another spot on the All-Tournament Team. Hoyt Munro capped off a season of growth with a 79, tying for 5th place and also earning All-Tournament honors. Isaac Ewersen and Ian Tricker both shot 80, tying for 9th place, while Mark Behrend added an 85 to the team's depth.

With multiple top finishes and individual honors, the Fall season has been a testament to the team's development and competitive spirit. The Hawks now look ahead to the Spring season with momentum and confidence.
