Leavitt named Assistant AD for Compliance

Hocking College Athletics announced that Associate Head Football Coach Tate Leavitt will take over as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Leavitt has been a part of the Hocking College Football staff since August of 2023 as the Offensive Coordinator and previously was part of the compliance staff at former NCAA Division II insitution Alderson-Broaddus University. "We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Tate's caliber joining our staff at Hocking," said Hocking Director of Athletics Rick Walker. "Tate's experience at his previous stops makes him the perfect person to step in and fill our complaince role. Tate will not only make our compliance staff stronger but will be a great fit with our Athletic Department staff."
"I am honored to be joining the Athletic Department at Hocking and look forward to contributing and continuing the established success of Hocking Athletics," Leavitt said. "My family and I are excited to be on the Hocking campus in a full time role and mentoring our student athletes."
Leavitt has an Associates Degree in Sports Management from Hutchinson Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Community and Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky and a Master's Degree in Physical Education and Coaching from Indiana State University.
Leavitt resides in Thornville with his wife Deserae.
