Men's Basketball bounces back, takes down Titans 71-65

The Hocking College men's basketball team bounced back from its tough loss last Saturday as the shorthanded Hawks used a strong second half to beat OCCAC rival Terra State Community College 71-65on the road Wednesday in Fremont.

Despite two players being out and others not feeling well, the Hawks remained tied for first place in the league with a 13-2 mark, and in the process, Hocking improved to 20-6 overall, it's third straight 20-win season.

Sophomore guard Anthony Millner and freshman forward Treshawn Cody led the Hawks as both score a gmae-high 23 points. The duo combined for 29 of the Hawks 41 seccond half points with Cody tallying 15 and Millner 14 in the final 20 minutes to lead Hocking to its 13th win in 14 games. Dennis Osoro added nine points and Sohn McGee chipped in six as the Hawks prevailed, despite being held to a season low point total in conference play.

Hocking finishes the regular season on Saturday March 2 when the Hawks travel to Solon, OH to take on Bryant & Stratton. Game time is set for 1:00pm ET as the Hawks can wrap up at least a share of the OCCAC regular season title with a win. If Lakeland loses to Edison State, Hocking can win the outright title.

The Hawks will be the No. 1 or 2 seed in next week's Great Lakes Region 12 Tournament at Mott Community College in Flint, MI.
